Common Name:Müller’s Bornean Gibbon
Type Locality:Indonesia, Kalimantan, "Southeast Borneo"; restricted by Lyon (1911:142).
Distribution:Borneo from the N bank of the Kapuas River clockwise around the island to the east bank of the Barito River.
Status:CITES – Appendix I; U.S. ESA – Endangered; IUCN – Lower Risk (nt) as H. m. muelleri, H. m. abbotti, and H. m. funereus.
Comments:There is a wide hybrid zone with H. albibarbis in C Borneo (Marshall and Sugardjito, 1986).
