Common Name:Brown Spider Monkey
Type Locality:Colombia, valley of Rio Magdalena, La Gloria.
Distribution:N Colombia and NW Venezuela.
Status:CITES – Appendix II; IUCN – Endangered as A. h. hybridus and A. h. brunneus.
Comments:Separated from belzebuth by Froehlich et al. (1991). Rylands et al. (2000) recognized brunneus as a subspecies.
