Type Locality:Brazil, Amazonas, "a small settlement on the right bank of the lower Rio Acari close to the confluence with the Rios Sucunduri and Canuma", 050708"S, 600114"W.
Distribution:Presumed to be the entire interfluvium of the Rios Acari and Sucunduri (Brazil).
Status:CITES Appendix II; IUCN Least Concern as Mico acariensis.
Comments:Subgenus Mico.
