Type Locality:"America Meridionali;" restricted to Pernambuco, Brazil, by Cabrera (1958).
Distribution:S USA, México, Central and South America to N Argentina, the Lesser Antilles (Grenada), and Trinidad and Tobago.
Status:IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
