Common Name:Long-nosed Dasyure
Type Locality:Indonesia, Prov. of Papua (= Irian Jaya), Jayawijaya Div., Helwig Mtns, south of Mt. Wilhelmina, about 2000 m, 4°32’S, 138°41’E.
Distribution:Interior New Guinea, 3°32’S, 139°10’E to 8°35’S, 147°09’E, 1400-2800 m (Van Dyck, 2002).
Status:IUCN – Data Deficient as Antechinus naso.
Comments:Usually included in Antechinus, but reassigned to Murexia by Armstrong et al. (1998) and awarded a separate genus by Van Dyck (2002), who recognised no subspecies.
