Common Name:Three-striped Dasyure
Type Locality:"Nieuw-Guinea, in de triton's baai (op 3°39'Z. breedte)" = Indonesia, Prov. of Papua (= Irian Jaya), Fakfak Div., Lobo Dist., near Triton Bay, Mt. Lamantsjieri.
Distribution:Prov. of Papua (= Irian Jaya) and NE Papua New Guinea; Salawati Isl. Also Waigeo, Yapen, possibly Batanta.
Status:IUCN – Lower Risk (lc). Secure.
Comments:This species was further described by Müller and Schlegel, in Temminck, Verh. Nat. Gesch. Nederland. Overz. Bezitt., Zool., Mammalia, p. 149[1845], pl. 25[1843].
