Type Locality:Colombia, "W. Cundinamarca, in the low-lying hot regions."
Distribution:E Panamá, Colombia, Ecuador, Perú, and Bolivia.
Status:IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
Comments:Emmons (1990) recognized peruvianus as a separate species.
