In 1920, Dr. Wayne E. Manning, then an undergraduate, took a trip across the United States with the Ecology Summer School of Oberlin College. These pages chronicle that journey.
The photos were taken during the trip by Dr. Manning and other students; the notes that will appear in this frame are excerpts of the journal he kept during the trip. His words will be in plain style and any commentary will be printed in italics. The commentary was provided by Dr. Manning in May, 1998, at a talk he presented at Bucknell University. These sound clips are approximately 200-300 Kilobyes and may take a few minutes to load.
